What is a hair mask?
A hair mask is a deep conditioning treatment for the hair, that is usually applied once a week. Hair masks differ from conditioners. A mask nourishes hair thoroughly, while a conditioner hydrates and detangles (Garnier).
Types of hair masks & when to use:
♥ Repair treatment masks: use this type of mask when your hair is damaged, dry and/or has split ends. Restores the very damaged hair to be even smoother, moister, silkier and easily manageable.
♥ Color protection masks: use this type of mask if you want to extend the life of your hair color. Hydrates and revitalizes dyed or damaged hair.
♥ Nutrition masks: use this type of mask when you have dry hair with low natural shine . Nourishes and smooths all hair types.
Favorites
'The 1 minute Energy Kick for all hair types'. I like this hair mask so much! Hot-oil quick mask is enriched with organic ingredients, phytokeratin (a serum to repair dead ends) and Pro vitamin B5. It has a natural scent and a thin texture compared to other masks. Type: repair treatment mask.
I bought this hair mask in a emergency situation: my hair was dry, frizzy and had split ends on the day before Christmas. I was totally desperate and needed a true hair wonder. A miracle happened: my hair had never been so soft, hydrated and shiny as after using this mask. What a result in just 60 seconds! I would definitely recommend this product. Value for money!
2. Elvive Re-Nutrition by L'Oréal Paris - €7,50 - 300 ml
'Elvive Re-Nutrition intensely nourishes and replenishes dry hair, restoring elasticity, bounce and silkiness'. Its main ingredients are Royal Jelly (contains pro vitamin B5 and hydrates) and Omega 6. It smells sweet and has a soft but thick texture. Type: nutrition mask.
Elvive Re-Nutrition is the hair mask I use on a weekly basis. It does exactly what it promises. My hair is fully hydrated and soft after using this product. It smells delicious and is a lot cheaper than mask number one. Since a few years, this is one of my favorite masks. You should try once!
